Hot end not coming up to temperature before printing
Recently, the hot end of my Orion Delta is not consistently coming up to the target temperature during the initial heat cycle. I have it set at 225 and it just stops heating at a few degrees cooler. I can get it to get up the 225 by manually adjusting the temp to a few degrees hotter (230) and then when it passes 225 I reset the temp back to 225. It stays at the target temperature while printing. Any ideas on what to look at?
Re: Hot end not coming up to temperature before printing
Look for unintended heat sinks contacting anything around the hot end. (As in, look for bits of the hot end/wires touching anything metal that could draw the heat away from the thermistor/hot end.
Once you're sure everything is clear, make sure the hot end is well insulated with kapton tape. Then, run a PID autotune with the exact conditions you will be printing in.
