Crimp-On's - Query

Hey guys,

So got to the hotend bit, and can't for the life of me find uninsulated crimp-on's anywhere, wondering if these will do if I remove the insulation?

And then once I've got them on, Kapton tape them to insulate them.

Those will work if you already have something similar and take precautions that they can never short on anything.

Cheers, my only concern was how many amps the hotends take, but I can't imagine it's that many, it's only heating a resistor so isn't going to be over 10 or something silly

The average hotend uses 3 to 4 amps leaning more toward the three amps. That type of connector will work fine. Use caution that they can never short against anything.

Ok thanks - and I will do - they'll be wrapped in Kapton tape extensively.

They actually become the non-insulated terminals that you are looking for.
