Hey guys,
I just swapped my nozzle to 0.35mm. When I do a test print, the corner closest to the Y tower does NOT stick to the bed. I used a magnifying glass to look at the nozzle and bed while printing and it is slightly too high.
It is properly calibrated to 0.01mm at x,y,z and center so i know its not that. I am going to guess that the horizontal radius which flattens the "dome" of the delta geometry is causing this. Does anyone know which way I should change the horizontal radius? add or subtract to make the radius flatter?
Or if it's something else, please let me know. I calibrated the bed with a feeler gauge to 0.025, so less than a sheet of paper. It's just that corner that isn't sticking to the bed. the bed is at 105C and nozzle at 230. ABS. This works for the 0.5mm nozzle. again, the nozzle tip is just sllightly higher at that corner. Everywhere else on the square, it's sticking fine.

I would check to make sure your cheapskates are making solid, firm contact with your towers. Make sure to check pitch, yaw, and roll.
For a "long time" (I've only owned the machine for about a month, but hey) I would see similar behavior - calibrated perfectly with my paper feeler gauge, or so it seemed, but the extruder would drift too high or low at times. So a couple times per week I'd waste a few hours of the evening recalibrating the end stop screws and horizontal radius.
Once I tightened my cheapskates that problem disappeared.

interesting. They were kinda loose so I tightened them up. I will have to see about the eccentric cams. Anyone know anything about the horizontal radius? Giant pain in the ass. I can't find any info on them from google except some mathematical diagram with a fragment of a circle with a segment drawn connecting the segment. No idea what I am supposed to do with the math formulas.

I started woth 130mm and worked from there. I have no idea what the actual hypothetical value would be. Its the measurement between the centerline of your carriage axles to either the effector axles or the effector axles+offset to hotend center, horizontally.

By : "tightened my cheapskates" what do you mean? the 4 screws that hold the cheapskates or the the 2 gray wheel the tight the cheapskate to the aluminuim rods?

You need to tighten the bearings just a touch so that movement is gone. The bearings on one side of the cheapskates are on cams thatduvdev wrote:Hi

allow you to tighten them. Tighten only until the play is gone and no more than that then tighten the screw back up. Did I mention you need
to loosen the screw before adjusting. The ones with the cams have a flat on them for using a wrench to GENTLY tighten them.

Thanks Eagles. Now I have to figure out what my original horizontal radius is. Crap. lol. I thought I had those cheapskates adjusted properly but I never checked again.
