Max V2 Assembly - Clarification on the 22g and 26g wires

Post by shentheory »

Hey all,

So this is not a "I can't thread the wires through the towers" post. I need some clarifications that I can't seem to get from the manual.

The 26g wire is cut in half so you have 2 red & 2 black. The 22g wire consists of white, green, red, and black.

So that's a total of 3 pairs of red and black wires. It says one pair of the 26 gauge will be used for the peek fan, and the other pair is for the layer fan. One pair is knotted, the other pair's not. But we still have one more pair of red and black that came from the 22g 4 conductor wire in this tower. And the manual doesnt mention this pair at all (at this point). I may be just freaking out too early, but I just want to make sure if I have to keep track of them (or remove them) before I stick them in the tower.

I am using the latest November 21, 2014 Manual:

Much appreciated!!!

Woah. You have confused me. These are the wires that are going up all towers:

2 pairs of 26g wire like you mention for the layer and peek fans.
2 pairs of 18g wire for the hot end and thermistor
1 set of four 22g wires for the extruder stepper motor
3 pairs of thermistor wires.

The red and black 22g SHOULD be with the green and white 22g for the extruder stepper.

Except he meant to say end stop or limit switch wires, not thermistor. These are the white & black pairs.

Right, so shen, bot actually answered your question but just to spell it out, all 4 22g wires go to the ezstruder stepper. They stay together; you do not separate out any colors from that set.

Do you think it would be worth it to clarify?
