Astrosyn Dampers - min quantity 10!?

Post by add1ct3dd »

Hey,

So I'm on here, which looks to be the proper site: http://astrosyn.com/product.php/74/my17 ... 3cdea43de3

But MOQ is 10!?

Is there anywhere else I can get them from ? Certainly don't need 10.. - hopefully in the UK/EU also, as this site is :]

And, is there a way to dampen the extruder stepper on the Rostock Max V2 easily? Seems a bit hard due to the EZStruder design.

Cheers.

If you do get them from me shipping back to the UK is pretty fast.
So far I haven't heard of many people doing the extruder stepper because of the EZStruder, I think the only way to do it would involve making a mounting plate for the damper to attach through so you get all 4 screws to hold it in.

^^ this. I have a spare one at home and so does my buddy because they just won't fit the ezstruder mount without some serious remodelling.

A shame, coz the extruder motor is now the noisest thing on the printer when it's running!

Hmm... wouldn't be too hard to manufacture... easy enough to do on a waterjet, right? The hard part would be making sure all the mounting hardware is right and that it is stiff enough for reliable extruding.
