Upgrading Steve's extruder

My extruder from the beginning runs ok, but I know few things could be upgraded.

Problems noticed with extruder:
1. Collapsing sidewalls.
2. Small gears could rub against a knurled aluminum nut.
3. inner component to loose.
4. Suplied screws catching bearinds under its head.

Solutions

1. Collapsing sidewalls.
Macihined bushing from 14mm rod. For me it was 46,5 mm long.

2. Small gears could rub against a knurled aluminum nut.
I milled 1,5mm of black plastic (A), this way knurled nut can go higher. This solves problem of rubbing gears

.

3. inner component to loose.
I discovered that the inner component has to much play when you mount whole extruder on the plate. I stick 0,5 mm cardboard with help of very thin two sided tape in the corresponding holes. This reduced the play.

4. Suplied screws catching bearinds under its head.
Screws from making process has this little brim under the head, which isn't helpfull when you try to place the bearing under the head of screw. It catches the bearing. ( Pointed ont the photo) I use lathe to get rid of it. I think you can also you some kind of file.

After this four upgrades everything runs very smoothly. Remember to push the bearings ale the way down.
