Zamboni Bobble head for hockey team

Post by Peterh226 »

I designed a bobble-head for my hockey team the Green Machine. Lots of dead ends and manufacturing 'learning'. Getting the spring rate in the wheels so they would bend and not break during insertion. Modeled in Solidworks and then printed on my Rostock Max V2. About an hour for a set of wheels, 1.5 for the Zamboni, and another hour for the base.

Very cool! Did you print multiple copies at the same time or do them 1 by 1?

What orientation did you print the green body at? Did you need to use support?

I did a mix of single and up to 4 of the Zamboni's at once. The top was the base and the open bottom was up. No supports. I tweaked the design so I didn't need them. For the wheels, I was finally able to print a bunch at a time.
