can some one can show me, what are the bes configuration for rostock max whit rambo board 1.1b and onix?
i tried a lot of things an i make work, but i can print well
i have configured the microstep to 16 an steps per mm to 80 in all 3 axis, steps per mm in extruder is 254, etc
help, it starting to disturb me

and I would like to someone help me with the values of the delta, because when I print something I get it smaller.(i make some modification on that) and the lines are'nt lines, they are a litle bit curby

Just tried this today to see if my new/hybrid stock hotend + EZ struder would print this. Results are fairly good. 230c ABS

Toner Plastic Neon Orange ABS 1.75mm, 210C directly onto glass at 100C for first layer, 3mm retracts.

Still having some issues with filament slippage (using EZstruder) as can be seen in the base of the pyramid, but turned out ok overall.
120mm part cooling fan, which I know is insanely large but I wanted to try cooling and it definitely makes a big difference. Long ago I swapped out the original small power supply (because my LEDs were flickering) with a 750W power supply. Resolved the LED flickering, and now I have ample supply for more extruders as well! Long story short I pulled the 120mm fan from the old power supply and used it as a part cooler fan.
Another thing I think helped was the addition of the carbon fiber arms with ball joints, I used to have infill (and other) issues with the original ones.

First attempt at the pyramid, would appreciate suggestions on how to improve it.
Using Repetier v0.90b Slic3r 0.9.10b, hotbed 100C and hotend 230C. With 1.75mm ABS (210-250C, bilbycnc.com.au).
Fill density - 0.2
Pattern - rectilinear
Top/Bottom Pattern - rectilinear
Extrusion Multiplier - 0.9
Currently no fans.
I think the next attempt I'll drop the hotend by 5 degrees.

I was inspired to build a Delta by Xnaron's Pyramid prints compared to my old Printrbot Simple Metal so I pieced together a Kossel Mini and just got her running well enough to post my some of my results. Note that I screwed up bottom layer edges with a scraper removing the part before it cooled.
My build:
Kossel Mini with V rollers vs linear rails, standard Traxxas linkages, real 0.35 Jhead, Azteeg X5 1/32 Microstep but with standard Kysan 1.8* steppers and a heated bed. I have N52 magnets and threaded 10mm balls I plan to add next.
The flat surface is amazingly smooth. Filament is Hatchbox PLA at 190C, Simplify3D slicer with .25 layers, 20mm/second travel speed and 1 120mm fan at 100%(need to go to 2-3 blower style).

Thanks guys, this print was with no cleanup since the 75mm/sec retract helps reduce the stringing with PLA along with a temp of 190-195C(haven't tried lower yet). I have to admit though xnaron's pyramid printed on his Rostock still has me beat overall IMO but I'm happy to even be in the ballpark this quickly since I just got it assembled and time to start calibration. My biggest concern was that the Delta's would be way too much effort to setup and while they are a little more involved when switching material types and even colors of the same brand I think it's a fair trade off for the chance to have higher quality prints for less money then my PB Metal Simple.
I'll definitely get some pictures posted soon but it still looks a mess as of right now.

I used Simplify3D to slice it. Overall a really great slicer and I would recommend it if the price tag was closer to 50-70 USD. Honestly the interface is great and I probably use Simplify3D for 70-75% of my prints and slic3r for the occasions where something wont turn out quite right due to a bug and speaking of bugs there are also a few with Delta configurations that need to be resolved as well before I would consider Simplify3D to be worth the $140 price tag.Jimustanguitar wrote:That's a beautiful pyramid print, congrats! Hey hax0red, you may want to try out the CraftWare slicer that we've been talking about in The Lounge. It has a lot of configuration similar to S3D... and it's free.
If at first you don't succeed, you're doing something wrong. Try again, and if it fails again, try once more. Through trial and error, one can be the first to accomplish something great.

Just downloaded it. Features look good so far and the interface is nice but not as intuitive yet as Simplify3D. Thought I'd give this a shot. I'm somewhat happy with the outer perimeters but it's a bit blobby on the inner area.It's printed at 198, 60c bed-.20 layer height and 4.5mm retracts.It seems no matter what I do, I can't get pointy areas to work. I have uploaded another failed rocket pic, I stopped this mid print because of the blobs forming at the points.
Machines- Rostock Max v2 with E3D v6, Corsair 750 power supply, PEI bed,injection molded carriages and new arms. Aluminum mount. X carve with x controller. Stratasys Uprint SE

Hi Xnaron. I have one fan though it doesn't seem to be blowing much. It's larger one that I put on, someone on the forum recommended this. It seems to be spinning really slowly. I have a few smaller fans sitting around with printed shrouds. Can I just tap into the existing wiring to add more?

Does anyone have a good resource they don't mind sharing on trouble shooting your prints? I'm trying to figure out how to improve my prints but am finding help hard to find. My main issue is the inner pyramid, and cleaning that up. I am initially thinking it is due to retraction, any tips?

I would try 20mm/s, no retract(adds possibility for move errors to accumulation) and be sure to use a really good fan on the pyramids since each layers time is pretty short. My prints with ABS didn't turn out too much better but I know the settings I listed made a small difference.

Hax0red.. how do you like the hatchbox PLA? i have a bunch of the PLA and a bunch of the ABS.. its honestly all ive bought so far (new to this). Seems like you got good results. Just curious as to how it compares to some of the others.. Its cheap, thats what i like.

so here is mine... im actually really dissapointed... the close up does make it look worse, but i had a little stringing, and the blob on top...
the outside edges look REALLY good, but the inside are a little off.
wondering where to touch up... i think i need to work on the retraction piece of things.
edit : it did not peel up and deform the bottom right corner, its just sitting awkwardly on a piece of paper
