can a STL file crash my printer

Some back ground i built my rostock a little over two months ago just before the new install guide so i'm using repetier-host and firmware .91
I have printed several things with minimal problems(sticking to the bed.Abs warping) like most things there a learning curve and these problems have been solved.

but now i have come up on to a problem that i have not been able to find in the forums. So i hoping that maybe some one else might have the answer that i can not find.
Every time my print gets to the infill layer 3/4 my rostock start clicking loses steps and is completely lost. The file i'm trying to print is http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:595377. I put this together for my daughter.
I have never used the honeycomb fill before thought this might be a good one to try it out on as this part is very large i have tried 30% and 20% infill both fail at about the same time.
as you can see in both images it looks like the head drops down and starts dragging the parts are both made with abs running at 215C this was not a peeling or lifting problem as both part were firmly attached
any help or ideal would be great.

Can you post your gcode file? That would be more helpful. I suspect you have a slicing problem, maybe the infill speed is too high and that is causing the printer to miss steps. Once that happens it's all down hill.

Not sure what the fix was i netfab the modal fixed the errors found and reduced the infill speed. Now 3 hours into the print with no problems i'll post back after the modal completes
mhackney if you are still want the gcode with the errors I'll post it but i think you were right the infill speed was to hi

No need to send the gcode, a fixed problem is fine by me!

I think you were getting the extruder to stall due to a combination of high infill speed and low hot end temperature. 215 is too low for most ABS.
