Coated nozzles

Post by precisionpete »

Anyone using the coated nozzles yet?
Also I was looking at the different materials for nozzles comparing brass to stainless.
Has anyone any experience?

The reason I ask is my E3D jammed again last night and I am a builder at heart so I ordered some stainless and brass blank material :ugeek:

Planning on making some nozzles and coating them on the inside with some slippery stuff after polishing.

I have searched here and read online most material I can find. Nothing much on coatings only polishing.

Just trying to not reinvent something that has been tried already.

Appreciate any tips from users.

Our member "Generic Default" has been designing and developing nozzles and non-stick coatings for them. Seems like he's had some great success. Here's a link to some of his comments.

If at first you don't succeed, you're doing something wrong. Try again, and if it fails again, try once more. Through trial and error, one can be the first to accomplish something great.
