A few of my PLA prints. The Max v2 seems to do really well with thin walled vessels. I'm loving this printer,now I need to get ABS to behave like PLA. Yes vases are a bit boring but I think they're nice to really get acquainted with the slicers in Matter Control. Cure seems to be my favorite for this type of shape thus far.

Hi Dunginhawk, The material is Natural PLA from Micro Center, the brand is Toner plastics, it's the best I've used(especially for the price).For the colored vessel I just marked the filament right before it passed thru the hole in the top of the machine. I used a few colors of broad tip Sharpies. I marked the filament in 1 inch to 5-6 inch sections, there were other sections that I didn't mark for several inches. I originally set a marker next to the filament and tried to apply pressure with a weight, it was a bit too light so I removed that set up. Luckily I was doing other work in my shop so I just kept a watch and marked it when I remembered to check. Going to try leather dye next.

You should give micro Center INLAND PLA a try. It is even better than the Toner Plastics stuff and about $4 a roll cheaper here in town. ($14.99) for PLA and ABS. I have had great success with it, even on a print that totaled out to be right at 72 hours or so long (biggest piece was 52 hours straight on that large set of prints). I print the PLA at about 210 nozzle and 60 bed on E3d V6 with purple glue stick with 4.5mm retraction and it is great!

Thanks travelphotog, I have some of their red ABS that I bought when I first got the machine, I knew nothing about settings at that point so I'm pretty sure it was my fault that it wasn't working that well. I'll try to recal with their red ABS and I'll definitely give their PLA a try(might even go buy some today!

I could not find the INLAND online so i bought the other Toner Plastics stuff... ill see how it works..
and for that price for a 2 lb roll of PLA... thats a great price at 15.99... Dont mind making a mistake or wasting a roll tuning the printer, which i still need to do, as my t-rex teeth came out poorly.

Hi Dunginhawk, let me know how the filament works out for you, I'm interested in seeing how it works out for other people. Not sure if this will be of any use to you but I've been printing at 188 for the hotend and 60 for the bed and 4.5mm retracts
