Setting up auto bed tramming leveling tilt compensation

Post by jesse »

Has anyone set up auto bed tramming (leveling) using an inductive sensor?

I bought the sensor and will probably try to get it working on 12v. Then try to get it working with Smoothie 3d printer firmware.

I know it's been talked about. The inductive sensors, pressure sensitive resistors, IR, ultrasound, LiDar, mechanical z-probes, etc. A few of us were scheming about using an accelerometer to detect when the hot-end itself lightly taps the glass.

Fortunately, after you get your bed level you've good to go and the adjustments usually stick pretty well.

It doesn't work with PEI or a glass bed on top of the heated bed. The sensor needs to be really close 1 or 2mm.

I have Done it using Inductive sensor 12VDC (Working voltage 6VDC~36VDC). Search DELLTA-1 and you will find the thread. I am using RAMPS1.4 with Marlin Firmware, i dont know how you will do it,,...
