Crimp connectors and tool
Crimp connectors and tool
I am looking everywhere to find the crimp connectors pictured in the instructions and have not had any luck. I also need a crimping tool and want the right one. I've dropped well over $100 on tools alone to get this build going! Wish they sold a toolkit with all needed parts so I didn't have to run all over the place looking.

An auto parts store would be the first place to look. Most of their butt connectors are insulated, but you can cut that off.

Re: Crimp connectors and tool
Be aware that not every crimp tool does the little connector pins if you want to do the quick disconnects. I was pretty upset when I found out the tool I bought didn't do the job I bought it for - only butt connectors and the like.
I recommend trying the one from Hansen Hobbies, it probably is what you need.

I would go straight to the cartridge heater and not do the resistors.

I'm fairly new to all of this and this is my first build, do you have pictures to show what you mean?

...and if you're building the v2 and the manual shows optional crimp-on connectors, you're not using the latest version of the manual. (the 1st edition also shows what proper crimp tool to buy if you decide to go that route)
