Hi there,
I just spent the last 8 hours trying to start to print this model from Mattercontrol:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:57590
I'm aware that the level of detail might be too much for a FDM type 3d printer but i just wanted to see how it'd turn out.
Anyways, Mattercontrol always seems to hang when slicing overly complex models like this one.
I'm using Mattercontrol 1.2 on Ubuntu Linux. Is there a logfile for the slicing process anywhere?
Is there another way i could attempt to print overly complex models?

[email protected] is your friend.
Send them the version info, an export of your settings and the stl file you're trying to slice. I believe if you start the app from a bash terminal you might get a log to stderr/stdout.

Thanks. In the meantime i rescaled the original stl file using blender instead of the edit function in Mattercontrol, now it is working flawlessly.
