Picking up Fan, LCD making clicking noise
Picking up Fan, LCD making clicking noise
After testing continuity on the fan wires, I came to the conclusion that it must be the fan. I'm going to pick one up and was getting everything plugged back in and now the LCD doesn't show anything but makes a clicking noise where the LCD panel is. No light whatsoever. I reseated all the cables and still have the same issue. Is there a chance I have a dud or do I really just have this bad of luck? Power supply replaced/picking up fan... Sheesh. Any thoughts appreciated.

Make sure you got the cables plugged in the right orientation and the right spots. Does the display light come on? Also when you flash make sure your board is set to RAMBo, or else it will not understand that it has more pins than the standard MEGA 25603amjosh wrote:After testing continuity on the fan wires, I came to the conclusion that it must be the fan. If I flip the cables upside down the light flashes on an off, but it doesn't look like the orientation in the guide if I do it that way. A is going to A and B is going to B.
Re: Picking up Fan, LCD making clicking noise
I think I had this problem when I forgot to configure the Arduino IDE properly. Make sure you follow the build guide for setting it up and flashing it. Most likely you don't have the RAMBo selected.

After pulling the power out of the wall for 10 minutes it now has decided to work... yowza
