KISSlicer extrusion Problems.

Post by tom10122 »

Can I see a config for an H-1 ? I finally got it to work but it barley does any extruding, I see it is extruding but not nearly enough.

Tom, you really need to be more specific! Are you running an Arduino-based H-1.1 or a parallel port based with Mach? Which Arduino if that route.

It sounds like you do not have the correct option for the Printer->Firmware-Firmware Type setting. Set to 5D - Absolute E for an Arduino based controller. I am not sure if KISS supports parallel based extruders on an A, B or C axis like in Mach.

Using EMC2 which is the same as mach , it runs the extruder, just not enough. Its set to 5d-absolute e aswell.

Ok, can't help you out. I know that Slic3r has a gcode generation option for Mach/EMC. I don't know that much about KISS.

If your extruder is moving at all, perhaps it is a calibration problem?

I was thinking maybe the mm/ rev option but heard that it didn't do anything

Looks like KISS does support EMC. Check http://kisslicer.com/forum/index.php?topic=88.30

If you're using the Beta it's ignored for anything other than BFB firmware.
If you're using the released version it's only used to calculate the minimum and maximum extruder speeds, I set it to 1 because then the speeds are in mm/s, but it really doesn't matter.
