Jim, that printer looks great. Some of the options like the effector with the magnetic arms and built in layer fans are cool.
It is a little pricey though, about $1800 plus after shipping and lots more if you buy all the options such as laser. It is great
to see how 3d printers are evolving.

It said the minimum layer thickness was 0.5mm. Was that a typo? Perhaps they meant 0.05?

I love the minimalist look. Curious how the 250mW laser works with the glass plate. Maybe it comes with glasses :)

It's a typo - they show a print at two resolutions, one is 0.05mm - even says so in the photo caption.

Just wanted to Necro this thread a bit.

I found what I'm thinking are the same fans used in the ATOM 2.0. They are Panasonic ball-bearing 5v fan that sits inside an all metal case.
I've been running one for a week at 12v with no issues so far. It's a screamer for sure at 100% power.

Unfortunately my setup on the effector doesn't allow enough room to run it like the ATOM. To make it fit, I melted the hotend mount and wedged it in for a quick test. I might try to hang the nozzle below the effector and come up with a real mounting solution.

It measures 34.64mm x 34.64mm x 6mm

It looks like a Sony product. To be honest, I think the price is "ok".
Yes, it's expensive... but structural parts are made from metal, CNC cutted. Plastic parts are injection molded and the hotend is CNC milled from titanium.

What I don't like is that there is no heated bed

EDIT: plastic cant be anodized lol

the price is not so bad.... I would pay this to brian if he did a kit like this with all of his products= frame, arms mounts and the new effector he showed, I would pay for the heated bed upgrade and engraver also. between my bed upgrade, power supply upgrade, tricklaser arms and E3D hot end, makerhive board, plus all my time, I am easily at 1800....

if they would tell us exactly what controller it was, it would help also.

might be nice to have that just for the laser...
