UK import duty

Can anyone who is UK based tell me if, and how much, import duty has to be paid on the MAX V2.

I believe UK VAT is 20% of the declared sale price. The exact number will depend on the exchange rate between dollars and pounds.

Having looked at the thread mentioned above it appears that there is little to be gained in importing from the US. Instead I'll probably buy from Robosavvy in the UK, especially as I've picked up a couple of web pages that mention they have a summer sale somewhere around July. I did think about making one from parts as I have access to a CO2 laser, and can get trade price on ND-YAG for metal parts. However by the time you take into account the time to accumulate everything in the BOM, and the postal charges, I doubt if the is any great saving to be made there either.
