geneb "ums" his way through an interview...

This was done at Aylen Jr. High in February for their TSA program. (Technology Student Association - I thought about asking if I had to take my shoes off before the interview, but I didn't think they'd get the joke...)

They're entering a contest with the website they're supposed to be developing about 3D printing. I haven't seen it yet.

I have no idea why they uploaded it at 360p considering the camera the student was holding was hi-def. He was holding it by hand because some dork stole the tripod shoe...go figure. :)

I wish their ability to use a tripod was on par with their list of actually decent questions.

Good luck to their program, it looks like they're off to a good start. Especially for a Junior High.

Maybe it was to hide the fact that the entire interview was shot out of focus  I'm pretty sure that this is the first time the person shooting the interview has used a video camera...framing of the shots were never quite right and had the steadiness of a bad Blair Witch Project sequel. All joking asside, was the intent of this video to be something that they would submit as part of their project?

I couldn't get much into it! I'm sure you did fine, but yeah... the conditions weren't ideal to say the least.

Focus is SO overrated. :)

It's part of some kind of contest they're entering. I'm kind of fuzzy on the details, but I hope they win.

I wish I'd known the interview was going to go on as long as it did - I would've had the Orion printing something. I was there for nearly an hour if memory serves.

Their teacher was a short little grandmother type that was very enthusiastic about 3D printing.

Wasn't on purpose, but what the hell! I'll take credit for it anyway. :D

You should've printed them a new tripod shoe. That would've been awesome.

The whole thing was kind of rushed - the instructor pulled the two kids out of classes they were in that day to do the interview. Had there been more time, I might have thought about it....but probably not. :D
