I just got my rostock max v2 fully assembled, I am able to heat the hot end and the bed using Matter Control as well as using MC to manipulate the effector head and everything works great, except for this strange issue with the LCD Screen. When I turn the knob it goes back and forth from the regular menu screen to telling me the number of hours the printer has under its belt, etc. But when I click that same knob I don't hear a beep nor do I see the menu cycle to the other options I am used to seeing on my Orion. Could this be some bone headed thing I did or was I simply unluckily enough to get a faulty LCD unit?
Anyone have any ideas?
Follow Up: Also, is the fan that is behind the Rambo supposed to be constantly on or does it come on intermittently depending on the heat in there? I ask because mine wasn't turning at all when I checked it just now.

The RAMBo cooling fan should run whenever the Max's power switch is on.

Pull the knob off. I had a small chunk of plastic stuck behind mine once and it did the same thing.

I had been using mine as it came from the factory and was going to put the black seemecnc knob onto it once I had everything in order....JFettig wrote:Pull the knob off. I had a small chunk of plastic stuck behind mine once and it did the same thing.
EDIT: I blew out the connectors on the ribbon cables and that seemed to do the trick, Guanu said he had encountered this problem before when he has assembled Orions. Also I accidentally used a 5V fan the first time around and that was my problem, I guess I blew it up in a matter of seconds.
