I am looking forward to seeing how you like the mill though. I got the gantry in today for my 21x37x8 mill, the base is following behind it shortly. What controller are you using? What sort of things do you intend to mill with it? Any plans to enclose it? I started out with a Shapeoko before I bought my bigger mill and even the small Shapeoko throws aluminum chips far and wide. I am enclosing the new mill and then the Shapeoko to help reduce the mess from all my milling.
Well anyhow the new mill looks really nice and I do look forward to seeing what you mill with it and how you like it. I admit, that was my favorite model and part of me still second guesses switches to another model, though so far I like what I am seeing on the mill i bought.
I figured support last when i purchased, hoping that everything in the kit would arrive at once... and it did not. I am still waiting for nema34 motor mounts. I was sent nema23 which in itself has taken 2 weeks total to get me the replacement parts.
The kit i purchased comes with PMDX 126, but i also ordered pdmx-411 so i can run this thing with a touchscreen laptop.
I started with a little 2.25hp 1/4, 1/2" shank wood router. I think i wanted to start doing some sign making, other wood type stuff before i upgrade the spindle for metal.
where did you end up getting your machine? the guys who shipped my electronics at cncrouterparts.com seem really responsive to emails and inquiries.
