For those who've built the trucks, did you notice any abnormal wiggle/movement within the wheels?
I'm building a set now, and watching the install video --> http://youtu.be/jIWjqIAiM7Q
I noticed that the wheels sort of snap in place.
Mine, sort of just fall in place. When fully built I can push/pull and rock it side to side. Not a lot, but enough to make clicking sounds and visually see the movement.
These wheels have been on back order for some time. I'm guessing this would be a new batch/lot they just received in.
This is my one handed video showing how easy my bearing install is. I tried to catch the actual built truck in the background on camera moving, but that's just about impossible at work without a tripod.

Those look to loose.
Mine have always been a thumb press fit. I would contact open builds for replacements.

I sent an email this morning with a link to your install video and mine showing the difference. I cranked each wheel down tight until it wouldn't get any tighter and they still wiggle just a little. Just wasn't sure if that was normal or not. Just to clarify, the wheel moves over the bearing. The bearing seems tight.

Received the reply back. I'd imagine they purchase/make these in the thousands so It might take a while to get the tighter tolerance wheels in.
Hello Kevin,
Thank you for contacting us and thank you for the helpful feedback.
Firstly, thank you for the video and it is very clear to show the loose issue.
We have checked all or stock and it seems temperature at the time of manufacture may be playing a role in tolerances for these.
Thanks to your helpful feedback we were able to find this and correct it for all future tooling we work on.
We are working on new dimensions so that the inner hole will be slightly smaller, but the bearing can still be pushed into wheels by hand force.
If you are not able to use the wheels you have now please let us know and we will send out new ones that should work better for you once they are completed.
Thank you again for your help.

If you want to try tightening things up, you could paint the rolling edge of each bearing with a metal paint. One or two coats would likely make a noticeable difference in fit. I bet nail polish would work too if that's all you have handy.
Re: TrickTruck, Openbuilds Solid V Wheel --> ?
I'm sure they could be fixed. That wasn't the issue, I just wanted to make sure what I had wasn't normal as I've never worked with Openbuilds before and I was going off the Trick Laser build video for comparison.
They offered to send the Xtreme Solid V wheels free of charge, hard to pass up that deal.

Machining plastic for a light press fit is a difficult thing to do, as you machine it, the plastic expands quite a bit, so you can't measure the diameter until after its at room temp, plus some plastics will swell when hit with coolant so its quite the difficult task. I dealt with it at my last job when we were making a bunch of plastic pulleys for a machine. It drove the machinists nuts at first, then they figured it out.

Just went through the wheels I bought. They weren't installed yet, as that project is barely started. One of the wheels is "fall out loose" on one side. The other side is normal, and so are the rest of the wheels.
