Re: Filament Overview
Your missing a few of the more esoteric variants, and I think it's important to understand that even all PLA or ABS is not the same for example.mhackney wrote:If you are interested in seeing what some of the other interesting filaments you can use to make things with, check out today's blog post on either the SeeMeCNC blog or my blog.
There is a soft PLA which is almost rubbery, Ultimaker in Germany sell it, I really want to try this but I haven't found a source in the States.
There is a "transparent ABS" which seems to have become readily available in the last few months.
There are "conductive" filaments that contain what I assume are carbon particles and aren't very conductive.
There are also formulations for high impact variants of ABS where I assume they increase the styrene content.
People have also printed with HDPE, but it's apparently difficult to work with.

Re: Filament Overview
Thanks Polygonhell, I knew about the conductive filaments and left them out as well as glow in the dark. I will likely do a follow up to include those from your list and any others that surface.
