I just bought myself an Orion and am waiting quietly for it to arrive sometime in the next week or so. I went with the Orion because it comes pre-assembled, and being the impatient sort I am, I'd rather not wait any longer than I must. I'm really looking forward to being able to print some of the 3d creations I've sculpted over the years

Also, I manage a 3d scanning lab (The Idaho Virtualization Laboratory http://ivl.imnh.isu.edu/ or http://www.facebook.com/IdahoVirtualizationLaboratory to see some of our stuff) and I want to have a good long test run on how a Rostock style printer works before I try and get our director to spend money on the lab's behalf. Because I can read, I know that the Orion and the Rostock Max share a large amount of common parts, issues, workarounds, etc. so I think using an Orion to see what a delta printer is capable of should work.
The main thing we are planning (eventually) to do in our lab is print some of the stuff we scan for the public to buy in our museum's store. For this reason, after I get the hang of simply using the Orion to output simple stuff, I will need to start sorting out how to get the highest resolution / quality possible. So, do any of you have any good resources available for setting and tweakings of firmware, software, print bed, filiments, extruders, etc. that I can start looking at now so when I get to the point I want to try pushing the envelope I won't end up splattered all over the countryside??
Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to working with you all going onward into the future...
Robert
