What keeps causing me to calibrate?
What keeps causing me to calibrate?
It seems like every time i turn on the printer i have to recalibrate the towers. What is going on? Are my eeprom settings not getting saved??? This is getting really frustrating having spent 2 full days trying to calibrate the damn towers.

Open the host software and look at the EEPROM values. Are they the values you put in there? If so, then they were saved properly.
Does changing them have an impact? It is possible to set the firmware such that it will ignore EEPROM values.
I don't get why some owners/machine combinations have ongoing calibration issues. It may be differences in assembly or dimensional tolerances. My first RMV2 went together with few issues. Hasn't needed recalibration since building it 8 months ago. I'm in the process of building a 2nd one and it seems like the melamine has a much looser fit. I'll be interested to see how solid it feels once completed.

Do a once through with all the fasteners you can get your hand on without disassembling it. Make sure they are all still snug/tight. Most of the issues stem from fasteners coming loose after a bit of printing. The melamine tends to compress/give a bit, especially for the cheap skates and they become loose.
