My filament snapped off in the extruder and when I went to check it I found that it had somehow gotten stuck inside the hotend. I took it to glass temp and tried to pull it out but it wouldn't budge. I managed to get the nozzle off but I think there is plastic stuck in the cold end. Does anyone have any tips for getting it out? Do I just have to disassemble the whole thing? Also is the problem with the retraction being too high?
Im using an E3D v6. The retraction is 2mm.

Re: Filament stuck in hot end
I have had to use a torch to loosen things up and then clear a clog.
The fastest method I have used is take the hot end off the machine and heat it up and use a wire the size of your nozzle and clear it.
Also for the cold end I have a set of drill plugs that are sized while heating things up run it through.
I then clean everything up and make sure there are no burrs.
I also look at all the parts under a microscope, easy to damage so go slow.
I tried clearing things while mounted on the machine but it's just so much easier while not mounted.
You might want to look into a quick release for everything.
connectors on the electrical and easy unscrew the mount.
