A quick vid on dialing in your extrusion rate - this is my go-to method for getting a good extrusion rate with little fuss. Works with any printer.

Enjoy!

Hi, when you say tiny gaps do mean a visible gap where each line is NOT touching each other?

Do you have a close-up image to demonstrate?

Like so.

This is the final result, would you say not enough extrusion? Also has some melting/warping look about it.

Yes just like your first pictures shows, small gaps between the infill lines.

It's interesting because the infill gaps look like it's under extruding, but the top layers and corners look like over extrusion. What size nozzle are you using? What slicer?
Those top layers should be smooth.

Please make a tutorial of belt tensioning. It would be much appreciated.

Maybe it's me, because I have to translate a lot of words or phrases, but I can't completely understand genes guide on how to calibrate them.
To be honest I don't know if they are too tight or too loose right now.

Hi, sorry about the delay I was away all yesterday :/

Firstly, are you sure you need a full 8mm retraction with ABS? Seems like a lot.

I'm struggling to see anything really problematic with those settings, however;
- what happens if you let s3d decide the extrusion width? I know with slic3r (a year ago) I couldn't get good results unless I set these values myself, but now they must have fixed their stuff because leaving them default produces decent results.
- does s3d allow you to set the infill/wall overlap? Turn this down a little.
- Despite the gaps in the infill, I'd still say you have over extrusion. If the first two changes don't produce better results (or if you'd like to keep the 0.6 extrusion width the same then I'd drop the overall extrusion rate down to 0.95 and try again.
