Can you use the full 11" diameter claimed on the RMAX V2?

Trying to gage if geting the Tricklaser arms will solve my problem of the nozzle lifting between the towers when trying to print large parts. I've spent many many hours on this and still have not been able to solve the issue.

The trick arms are precise, more-so than the stock arms. They will not correct mechanical calibration issues. If your effector is lifting, I would look at the left/right tower lean of each axis.

See if you can print this, but hover your power button if it starts to crash.

If you measure an 11" diameter, you will see (or at least I remember seeing) that it is physically impossible for the hot end to reach the full 11" circle. The arms simply are not long enough.

They are long enough on mine. Do not mistake the glass for the print volume. The glass is more than 11” in diameter. The 11” is a painted white circle on the bed of the RMAXV2. I do believe you need to remove the layer fan in many cases because it will bump into the binder clips at some point if you are testing to print the whole circle. Still, I cannot come close to that painted outline.

For the heck of it I created a 10in circle. I started it painfully slow, and slowly jacking up the speed. It's printing at 60mm/s and doing fine.

I'll post the video when it's done.

I'm not mistaking the glass for the print volume. I'm talking about a 280mm diameter circle, when I tried to put the nozzle ON that line, it could not reach. It was short by about 5mm.

Mine failed on the STL posted above with these new steppers. I need to raise the current to test it more, but honestly I'm happy to be printing 10"

Me too. I have no problems with the bed dimensions. In fact, I try and keep it to an 8" circle, and have that defined as my bed in Simplify. I know I can go beyond it if I want to, but I just like keeping things inside it if I can. I'm simply stating facts, that I can't and never have been able to get the nozzle to even position itself to 140mm from the center.

To get the full reach, your arms will be parallel to the bed, it's the maximum that they can go. If you've changed your hot-end, the height of the effector won't be the same and this angle will change.

Also, the carriages between V1 and V2 are slightly different heights, so one can theoretically reach farther before the carriage bottoms out into the base (but I don't have both machines in front of me to compare).
