Where are you mounting the display and how are you routing the cables that it is longer than 30cm? You can pass the able through the partition openings in the center of the base.

The lcd is mounted directly across from the z stepper and the rambo is to the right of the lcd.... The connectors for the cable wont go through the square openings to reach the rambo and even if they did I wouldn't have the slack to open either door.....

Thanks

Thanks Bill, I assume this is the new RAMBo adapter for the display? Most of us had to modify our own cables. 30cm seems rather short. Can you post a photo? I'm curious about the adapter. Have you emailed or called SeeMeCNC about it?

I tried calling them but they are gone for the day and I was hoping for an answer today but I did leave a message. This is the lcd with the new connector. And the box it came in says not to go longer than 30cm bit I don't see how that would be possible. I will take some pictures if you like...
Thanks

The pictures would be nice, none of us have seen this beast and there are no photos on SeeMeCNC's site!

I see a spot to mount the rambo directly behind the lcd, I think that is the answer...

I think there are two ways to mount the LCD. One is flush which prevents acess to the SD card as bplemmons has it mounted. The second is to use the two brackets to angle the LCD. I did this on mine and mounted the Rambo behind it. Not a problem if you haven't run the wires yet.

I also used two standoffs between the Rambo and door to give me a little more clearance. Not sure if the wood version has the same holes.

Did you have to drill holes to mount the rambo on the lcd door? I have no holes for it on mine.

But i do have holes for it on the electronics door but dont have holes for the lcd

Based on your response it seems that the acrylic LCD door is different from the wood door. I only had to enlarge the holes for the LCD angle mounts. All holes were in the correct positions for mounting the Rambo board to the door.

Interesting, my white melamine kit is marked R7 too but does not have those holes for mounting the RAMBo. That would have been nice. I'll have to think about drilling a few holes and moving my board.
