What is the PTC adapter, and should I have one, or two?

Push to connect adapter for the PTFE Bowden tube between the extruder and hot end. You need 2.

Not to confuse with a Positive Temperature Coefficient resistor.

They are a blue piece installed in a brass fitting I believe

If you're ordering some get extra's!

Mine on the extruder is shot after moving quickly with extractions the teeth that hold the tube are gone. I had to use PC7 around the tube and the blue top of the adapter to hold them together. I hope it holds.

I can't order them from the site as a part, anyone know where I can get them incase this doesn't hold?

I posted a link to where you can get them at Amazon this week on another thread. Search my posts or PTC and you should find it.

Oh nice thanks! I checked seemecnc but didn't see them earlier. Amazon.com says 1-2 months wait. yikes!

So far my PC7 is working had to put quite a bit on but once fully hardened works great thought don't know how long it will last.
I put some on my Muffler joint months ago and it's still holding...so should stay put, if not I order some that's good news.

I'm not sure why folks are having problems with the PTC fittings. I've been using them for years in this size for the oiling systems on my mills and lathes. When I "remove" the Bowden tube, what I actually do is unscrew the fitting, not remove the tube from the fitting. The other thing to keep in mind is that to remove the tube you push the blue (in this case) plastic piece into the fitting and while holding it in, remove the tube. Sort of like a Chinese finger puzzle.

I had one go on me too.
My feedback would be to push the blue part to disconnect the tube rather than try to unscrew the brass fitting while the tube is still attached.
