Hey shapeshifter,
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If you're talking about dual extruders, dual hotends, I think I posted a config a while ago on this thread. I think it would still work with a more recent rom.
If you're asking about how to configure for a Cyclops, you set up your second extruder entry, keep your existing temperature_control.hotend entry, and make sure your slicer of choice doesn't switch between temps when switching extruders, or if it does, that it doesn't try to switch your first extruder to a standby temp.
The just get everything up to temp, issue a T0, extruder a bit. T1, extrude a bit to make sure everything's set up correctly.

Re: Smoothieboard + Dual Extruders. :-)
Hi Gestalt,
Thanks mate that's exactly the info I was hoping to get! I haven't got a cyclops yet I will just be playing around with the upsilon type widgets on my e3d v6 to start with and upgrade once I feel comfortable with the system but you hit the nail on the head. So that the slicer doesn't switch it off or so that you could run two slightly different temps would it work if I made a second hotend entry as well but just pointed it to exactly the same pins as hotend 1? Or will that just confuse things and cause me issues? Great thread btw, thanks!

Will work with E3D Cyclops.

Hi 626pilot, thanks for that configuration it makes a lot of sense.
I'll be using it with your branch of smoothie once I get a chance to install the new board, I'm just reading through the thread front to back to make sure I haven't missed anything. There's a lot of work in what you have done with smoothie and I can't wait to give it a go.

Where are you sourcing this stuff? I have seen information, spec sheets, etc. on it before but I cannot find any place that actually sells it.Gr8Scott wrote:I use a high temp thermal paste called Red Ice 611 HTC
