I think I have a retraction issue.

Post by BTP »

So the more experience I'm getting with my printer, the more I'm noticing reoccurring "problems" and I've been changing settings in Mattercontrol/slice to try and rectify them. My biggest issue right now is pretty minor really. I've noticed that if I'm printing multiples of an item, when the printer moves from on model to the next I'm getting these small blobs/boogers for lack of a better term. Now if I print the same model on its own, there is no problem and it prints fine. I think it has something to do with the retraction when moving from one model to the next. I don't know enough about it to be able to make the necessary changes. Right now I'm just running the stock MaxV2 settings for retraction.

Any help is appreciated.

It could be "oozing". Basically, the nozzle is leaking, and in the time it takes to go from one object to the next, filament accumulates on the tip and gets pushed onto your model. I have had some success increasing the retraction, and printing at lower temperatures.
