This has been my first week printing anything with my newly created Rostock Max V2.
When I print larger/taller items I'm getting a few problems. I don't know much so I hope to be pointed in the right direction where I can fix it myself.
One item seemed to get splits or cracks between certain layers. I printed two of the same object and they both had the splits in almost the same locations.
The second item seems to have some layers that bulge out too much.
I'm hoping that someone knows some of the causes for these issues so I can start troubleshooting to correct them. Pictures are attached.
Thanks.
Not sure where to start to fix split layers or bulged layers

I assume it's ABS?
If so short version for fixing the splits is no cooling, put the printer away from any drafts and print hotter.
The bulges could be mechanical, but IME it's usually the result of slight over extrusion, you need to print some simple test pieces and look at them, I describe the method I use in a sticky in the RostockMax V1 forum.

Thanks! I'll start at those points you mention.
