MAX V2 cooling fan power shorted, Rambo fried?

Post by mnester »

Hi there, I accidentally had the wires that go to the print head cooling fan short out and now the printer doesn't turn on. This happened when I just turned the printer on, nothing was heating or printing. I can hear the power supply fan turn on but nothing else. Is there a way to perhaps reset the Rambo board? Or is it just dead?

Mostly likely just burned fuse F3. You won't find them in most stores. Can get from SeeMeCNC, mouser.com, auction site, or several users here on the forum.

I agree, it probably is the F3 fuse.

here is a hack posted by another member to get you by if you can't wait until fuse arrives.

Thank you gentlemen for the help. Do you maybe have a part number for the fuse for Digikey or Mouser?

Verifying that replacing the F3 fuse fixed this problem.

Thank you for that. So many fix the problem without letting us know what worked! Glad it got worked out.
