Rambo board with cyclops - how to?

Post by duvdev »

Hello,

I need some help with connecting and setting the software for the cyclops and the rambo board.
can some please help, I know that the extra motor will connect to the E1 on the board but what are the firmware configuration?
and how do I set the repetier host to work with the extra extruder motor?

thanks

I second this question. I am trying to set up cyclops with a Rambo board as well. I followed much of the Chimera forum, but does anyone have a configuration.h file and/or pins.h file? I got mine to work following the chimera post, but I have to set both extruders to heat for it to work. Also I can not get repetier to work with my printer any longer. Anyone have any help on this?

The basic idea is you set up fro dual extruders except both extruder 1 and 2 heater pins and thermistor pins to be the same.
You then tell the slicer it's a dual extruder.
You will find when you do this that the hotend won't heat at all unless both extruder 1 and 2 are set to heat. As a result both extruders must always be set to the same temperature.
