Steppers don't move down to reset Z Height

Post by Simages »

After installing new carriages on my Orion Delta I went to recalibrate the steppers however; after homing, then move to Z Position, click and turn the dial CC, they hardly move down.... then the LCD resets back to the home start up screen. :?:
I must have inadvertently messed up the Z Height by hitting 0.00 at some point, but if I have to use the USB connection to reset the machine's Z max height, my printer now won't connect to Matter Control on my iMac or Window machine.

so if you replaced the carriages, did you pull them up or down quickly? if the motors were connected to the board, you can turn the motors into generators and burn some stuff up..

Thank you for the reply, seriously.....that's what I thought when I saw the Screen flicker, I knew better. UGH I submitted a few tickets to support but that didn't come up in the email responses. The tickets were then closed so, a bit frustrated for wasting over a week.

well, that sucks if its truely burnt up. ALAS, you can mail the board in for repairs. so all hope is not lost.
