tiny extruder steps on this stl - what am I doing wrong

Post by 10kvclockman »

Hi, just created this in 123D and tried to print it. The printer (rostock max v2) seems to be putting down tiny amounts of extruded plastic. I have checked my setup with previous prints and it prints fine. I have tried to change settings in the material menus, but nothing works. This is very strange as all of the previously printed parts work fine, so its not my printer, its something to do with the way that this stl is being sliced by mattercontrol. Any ideas?

Do you intend for this to be 3 separate solids? If it's supposed to be 1 piece, you've got some fixing to do before you try printing. I can only assume that it's related.

Merged as one.

Seems to slice okay using S3D.

Many thanks, I studied the merged file and tried to do this in 123D with success. Many thanks
