Hi,
I read that Tetrahydrofuran dissolves PLA like aceton does with ABS. I ordered a bottle and dropped two old and presumably "dirty" nozzles i used mostly with PLA filament into a glass with some THF for two days now. They look a little cleaner now, but it still seems there is some residue inside them. Has anyone else tried this?
Anyone know what type of rubber gloves i could use to protect myself from THF? Nitrile golves dissolve.
Using Tetrahydrofuran to clean nozzles used with PLA?

Seems like we've been down this road recently. Maybe that was just MEK?

Look under PPE for the hand section, will list the type of gloves required.

MEK? Is that some other kind of solvent?

Methyl Ethyl Ketone. It's SOME kind of solvent. One of the most solventy of the solvents I've ever seen. Don't mess with it carelessly.

Oh nice, so that could be used as a good nozzle cleaning tool then, is it effective?
What gloves can you use with it? PVA? Can nitrile be used as short term protection for handling?
