Thanks Eaglezsoar! Currently I don't have a printer but am about to push the button on a Rostock max v2. I have been working with the tech for 24 years now though, even owned a couple of commercial machines in that time. The Rostock looks fantastic for the price so I am looking very forward to getting one.

We are a support community for the SeeMeCNC line of printers so we are a little biased toward the fabulous printers they make.fletcher wrote:Thanks Eaglezsoar! The Rostock Max V2 will serve you well and you will have fun building it. I do hope that your purchase can go in soon.

Got the machine in and put together. I'm very impressed with the quality, and fit, of all of the parts. Great job folks! I have only printed a little cube so far but the part looks great! Melting plastic and overjoyed on a Saturday morning!

If you get a chance perhaps you can take a picture of your machine and something you have printed.fletcher wrote:Got the machine in and put together. Here are a couple of pics. I was printing a sports drink bottle, but had to quit, as we were heading out for the evening. The part finish is really nice! Can't wait to do a full one. Sorry about the sideways pics, they weren't like that when I uploaded them.

Re: Hello from Canada
Let me guess... It's an iPhone picture uploaded from a windows PC? Happens to me a lot.fletcher wrote:Sorry about the sideways pics, they weren't like that when I uploaded them.
When you use the volume button to take a picture instead of the capture button on the touchscreen, it does everything quicker and doesn't rotate the file before writing it to memory. There's a flag in the file's metadata that's supposed to tell whatever opens it to rotate the picture, but few non-apple programs read the flag and actually do it...

Yes an iPhone - thanks for the info!
