Hi all,
I'm looking to do some bridge torture tests, as I have realized my printer is pretty bad with handling bridges. Everyone seems to say to tweak the speed, fan speed, and temperature when the printer is bridging.
However, I am using MatterControl and the only bridge setting I see that I can tweak is speed. Is there something I am missing? Or is MatterControl limited in this sense?
Any recommendations for software with more configuration options?

Re: Bridging
Objects like this are good tests of bridging.

Haven't looked in a while, I've been designing my own calibration pieces when I need them.

Neat thanks! What software are you using? I see in the description to put these settings:
bridge_increment = 5
max_bridge_length = 100
bridge_width = 3
bridge_z_gap = 0.2
wall_thickness = 1.5
bridge_angle = 18
bridge_height = 0.8
min_bridge_length = 10
hub_diameter = 30
But I don't see how to alter some of those through MatterControl.

Re: Bridging
I've been printing with Cura, so the settings will be different.
That "Bridge Angle" being set to 18 might be causing you some problems, though. Does it try to pull the bridges straight across the gap, or is it at an angle?

None of those are slicer settings that you set in MatterControl.soul_reaper_38 wrote: Neat thanks! What software are you using? I see in the description to put these settings:

Thingiverse lets you set up customizable objects with an interface to change parameter values so the thing can be created with variations. (Here's a simple one by me) When someone finds a set of parameters they like, they can release their own version of the object using those values.
The Thing you're looking at is a Thingiverse remix by cforema of a customizable bridge test generator by walter: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:476845
All of those settings are just parameters that go into the OpenSCAD values of the customizable thing. Don't use any of them to set values in MatterControl. How to best set up MatterSlice for bridging is an entirely separate topic with its own values to figure out.

Re: Bridging
thats a very good question im still testing with the settings i bridge at 30% speed this seems to work best also i let my 2 40cm fans blow 70% Power instead of the usual 30
