Just a vase, because I could...

Post by AussieBlake »

Prometheus Hot end, TL CF arms, 0.25mm, 30mm/s, verbatim blue PLA.

Was happy with how it turned out, slowly learning all the in's and out's of the Max V2.

Do you find that the Prometheus Hot end works better than any other that you have used?

Hi Eaglezsoar,

I had only used the stock hot end prior to upgrading to the all metal hot end. I got similar results. Essentially I upgraded so I could crank the heat a bit with some different filaments. Plus the Prometheus gets a pretty good rap.... The only issue I had was with a faulty collet and the filament would work the collet out of the top of the heatsink. Has since been rectified. I'm very happy with it, seems to hold temp a lot better than the stock hotend, very small fluctuations.

Cheers

Blake
