Is the white base cover required?

Post by cassetti »

Since I bought a black rostock max, the white 'cover' that goes around the base cabinet doesn't match at ALL!

Is this cover panel really required for heating/ventilation purposes? I kinda like the 'exposed' look of the assembly without it.

Base cover is not required. We actually left ours off as well....I like the fact that there is extra ventilation as well as the exposed look.......

Awesome - I figured the ventilation would be a perk (though I might design an adapter to fit behind the LCD panel to circulate air around the RAMBo board), but you never know - it could have been used to funnel air through the entire base, and out through the power supply fan.

Thanks, I really didn't want the hassle of painting my base cover!
