Mattercontrol Auto Print Leveling help needed

Post by derzaubererer »

I have Calibrated my Rostock V2 pretty good manually but i wanted to activate the automated bed leveling feature of mattercontrol but i cant configure it properly because it stops going down before the nozzle reaches the bed
it seems like it cant go into negative numbers?
i have activated the Firmware Go into Negative option but it still doesnt work
is there any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

I am replying to this message because it has never received an answer.
Perhaps someone can provide an answer?

Or set your Z height correctly in the machine's firmware. Sorry none of us replied at the time.

That's okay Captain, we miss a few a month and if I think they are important I post them again.
Most users appreciate me posting them again, some don't.
Hope all is well down under.

You're z height is the issue. You have to setup Z height lower. So if you've set your z height using a sheet of paper, your new z height would touch the glass without the paper. If it still gives you an error, remove the glass and go lower. Pretty much, go low as you can until the error message goes away. With that said, use this method strictly for setting up auto leveling or have it on. Also, make sure it's setup before you start printing. If you decide not to use auto leveling, reset theZ height to the proper gap above the glass; the sheet of paper BEFORE you print.
