Calibration issue - Resolved

Post by GpaSteve »

My Rostock Max has been working great, up until now.
The Z tower is having an issue, I have tried re-calibrating and I can not get the Z tower fixed.
I adjust the screw, per the manual and it does not seem to make a difference to the height changing.

Any advise would be great,
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the suggestions. made a few adjustments and all is working fine now.

We need more information but normally the z-height is set by using the knob on the lcd panel.
Please respond with more info on what exactly you are trying to do and someone will help you out.

The hot end is cutting into the bed. I know about setting the z with the knob. That doesnt seem to be the issue. When i try to calibrate each tower. A sheet of paper can move under the x,y and center. No matter how much i adjust tje end stop screw on the z tower it doesnt change placement of the hot end.

Check that the Z Endstop is in properly, and try the software (EEPROM) offsets for the Z tower as well.

Check the joints on the carriages and effector and see if they have any slop. If they're loose because they've worn down, you might want to upgrade to SeeMe's new ball-cup design, which looks to be a lot better than the older design. It does require that you have the newer carriages and (I think) platform, if you don't already.
