Yes, my spool holder receives wifi, doesn't yours??

Post by barry99705 »

Built an enclosure for my printer, but didn't print out a spool holder beforehand... Forethought and I aren't on speaking terms. So a box and a wifi antenna will have to do until it's done. I'll post up pics of the enclosure once it's done as well. Turns out acrylic is a bitch to cut, so my door panel doesn't have a window, just a hole. Also need to pick up a couple magnetic latches.

Started using that back when Netstumbler was still relevant. Was also a Mac guy at the time, so Hexley seemed like a good idea. Been using that avatar ever since! Even had him in my macbooks! Had to pull the display apart to put it behind the apple.

Kay! Here's the enclosure! Think I need to paint it blue...

From the side as I walk into my office.

From the front as I spin around from my desk.

With the door open.

I left enough space on the bottom to eventually make a false bottom to bring it up flush with the top of the printer base. Kept one of the cut sheets to use as a pattern. It really helps cut down the noise though!

I think your choice of blue would work great!
