Off to a great start. SeeMeCNC got the machine delivered a day early (unfortunately I was out of town). Box arrived in pristine condition. I haven't had a chance to inventory yet, but here is the unboxing!

lots of them do that for me from quite a few of the posts i see here
for my own JPGs I have to be sure to only use images less than 720 pixels wide to avoid it I thought it was a quirk of the Apple Macintosh Safari browser.

Ummm....sorta forgot to document the build...and I'm too lazy to resize the pics...

Interestingly I finished the build in quite a bit less than 20 hours.
I have a few comments/suggestions and thought I would throw them out there while they are fresh in my mind:
1) The 12 ga wires from the power supply to the Rambo power connector are just barely long enough and the connector wiring (while easy enough to do) is not nearly as "solid" as I would like despite my spending a good bit of time trying to get this perfect. Maybe consider including a pre-wired connector and adding a couple of inches to the cable? This would probably only add a couple of bucks and would likely prevent a bunch of frustration and possible shorts.
2) Step 16 says (8) pan head screws are required. Step 16.2 says (4) of the same pan head screws are required. Only 8 screws are actually required for both steps. For a few minutes I was worried that I was missing screws...instead I determined I just had a screw loose
3) I have no idea why but when I installed the fan in the step 6.6 every nut bound up and I actually ended up bending all four screws trying to get them tightened properly. I ended up hot gluing the fan in...works fine. Not sure if I used the wrong screws, nuts or what...all other screws/nuts worked just fine. :
4) I have a pile of washers left over...I see now that they I should have used them in the idler bearing install step 6.7... is this a big deal? The bearings, belts and carriages seem to move smoothly.

I just got the base together on mine. For #3 the same thing happened to me (I had 1 work fine then killed 3). I then used a spare so I have 2 screws holding it in. I think the nuts are just stronger than the long screws, I don't think I cross threaded 3/4 but could be wrong. If I did it again I'd throw some shorter screws through the nuts first and then the long ones so the resistance would be less (or just use standard nuts)
For #4 I think you are okay, I assume they are there to help prevent over tightening / collapsing the holes, just don't tighten them down too much.

For #3 I believe it is the screws. I had exactly the same problem except 2 went in no problem and 2 bound up. One twisted off.
