Will provide pics soon. Amazing job here printing the Turomar latest version AR-15 Lower with combination stock.

Printed using the Rostock Max that I purchased 3/23/2013. Finished assembly and calibration 3/29/2013

I used Pronterface by the way. Tried it with Repetier-Host V 0.9.8 but it hangs after slicing, so I figured why not try Pronter-Face. Had to make some minor adjustments to the slicing setting, then sliced perfect and prints perfect. Flawless

Has anyone here tried printing the Turomar latest version of his AR15 Lower with combination stock?

Well, the buffer printed flawlessly but the scale is off. I guess turoma latest version has to be re scaled before slicing. Does anyone know the rescale rate that I should rescale it too?

Anyone else just getting a bad vibe about multiple posts, in various threads, about AR-15 parts and not about the printer calibrations or the printer itself....???!?!!?! Just saying.....

Seems like a troll, can someone lock this thread? It's just a guy talking to himself.

Why would the atf care about printed guns or home built guns? It's 1000% legal to do so. I'd like to see a pic of it. That's a lot of work to do in the time stated. Post them. I sliced the defcad lower and it was 30 to 40 hours to print. ( with my settings anyway. So I didn't print it.

This is 100% legal. I am no troll. I am 3D printing whatever I want to print and am not selling it. Just want to see if it is possible and if so, then I can have spare lowers for my AR. Why are folks so afraid to speak of this subject? Educate yourselves.

There's nothing magic about printing gun parts. Anyone with a CNC mill has had the ability to make these and much more and much more precisely for years. I have not kept in the loop about the irrational comments around "printing guns" but the fact of the matter is, a low end CNC milling machine is not that much more expensive than a decent printer, can do much higher precision work in plastics AND metals in much less time. And the software is much more sophisticated. If you are printing non-mechanical parts that do not require high precision, 3D printing is fine.

I think the comments we have here are more about that this is a 3D Printing forum for builders and users of the Rostock MAX. Sure, printing gun parts is possible, but you'll get much more information and help from one of the sites that's popped up dedicated to the subject. One other comment, forums are all types are filled with "talkers". Most members don't give them much attention after 10 or so posts with no meaningful content or photos. If you want to get member attention and feedback show us some photos of your machine and parts!

I'm printing out extra "bambi's" to compensate for the extra gun parts coming out, oh ya and a few extra bullet resistant vests for her too!

I wouldn't mind seeing parts printed to improve the look & feel of some of the cheaper airsoft guns. :)

I have an air pistol (Crosman 1377) for which I want to print some custom grips.

I think a 3d printed custom Nerf gun would be fun to have around the house.

Reminds me of a hydrogen powered nerf gun I used to have I made. More often than not it would simply fire the dart as confetti out the front with a highly ballistic detached rubber suction cup tip scream ahead of the once was a foamy dark part.

Good times!

I received my shipment 3/25, took me about 3 days to assemble and the remaining time to figure out the software. Not to mention a few calls to Steve. Thank you Seemecnc for this great machine. It's almost Plug and Play.

Nice details. I'm really impressed with this machine. Being a newcomer to this game, it's almost like plug and play.
