Delta bed height map utility for Repetier

Post by pro9793 »

Hi everyone. I've written a program to measure the height map of our delta printer print bed. Tested with repetier 0.92.8 firmware.

Herer is the program https://www.dropbox.com/s/zxyymrott81z4 ... r.rar?dl=0

Choose the com-port;
Enter the baud rate;
Change the bed diameter(in mm);
Measuring height(in mm);
Press connect, then Measure plot. After the bed is measured press the Show plot button and you'll get the 3D surface of you measured bed.
Rotate checkbox - to automatically rotate the generated surface
If you click the plot will see the actual height in the point you clicked at in the bottom of the program.
Good luck. I've calibrated my delta with the mistake - 0.05mm in an hour.

That looks good, but I don't see what is required to acquire the measurements. What do I need to get for that?

Sorry I don't understand what do you mean. I'm from Russia and my English is not so good as yours.
This is not the program for auto-calibration this is the program to manually calibrate the printer with eeprom values(you can edit them by pressing the eeprom button). It just gives you the full real picture of your printer bed surface. Because if you calibrate the 4 or 7 points - there can be big errors between these points.

Hi, and sorry for not being clear. I was just wondering what a user would do to use your program. I was looking for some kind of use instructions, so I could know how difficult it would be to operate. I understand now that it is manual, and it creates a beautiful map of the bed surface. How many points must be calibrated to get this level of accuracy? It looks great, by the way!

You need a Z-probe to take the measurements. Something such as a microswitch or FSRs.
