Embedded couplings on kraken cooler block

I'm having trouble getting the tubing secured into the kraken cooler block. Once I insert the couplings into the cooler block, I'm unable to feed the tubing through the cooler block and into the heat breaks. I destroyed the plastic couplings trying to get them to work and then removing them. I just got the replacements.

Can someone with a kraken please tell me what I might be doing wrong or how you got the tubing secured on the cooler block with the supplied couplings...Thanks!

The tubing doesn't feed down as far as it does on the v6.

It only goes in about 8-10mm vs. the ~35mm on the v6.

Also, if you have enough water/coolant in your reservoir, it's really not that important to have the ptfe fully seated in the cup of the heat break. The watercooling keeps the heat break cool enough that heat creep really isn't an issue the way it can be with air cooled hot end.

I still don't know what I am doing wrong. My problem is after I put the plastic coupler into the cooler block, I cannot get the tubing to fit through the coupler at all, much less to the heatbreak. I didn't have the brass ring component in the first round. It looks like I received big black things I think are Bowden couplers, but I couldn't attach them in any way. Do the brass rings get inserted before the plastic couplings by chance? I wouldn't expect they'd fit into the top of the couple block....

Ok, I tried again. I see what you are saying, the tube doesn't go in very far. The brass rings won't fit. I inserted the plastic couplings again, and then attempted to insert the tubing, but again it goes in a little, but not in enough to secure the tubing. It will pull right out. I'm thinking maybe I need to somehow lift the coupling a little to get tubing through enough to lock... Or maybe tubing I'm using is not the perfect size or what E3D may have sent, but I doubt it. I still need help with this issue if I want to be able to print.

Ok, I watched the video. That helped. I think the problem I'm having is that I'm not inserting the tubing while everything is disassembled. I'm inserting he tubing after everything has been been mounted. Consequently, I can't get my fingers close enough to the cooler block while inserting to support the tubing and prevent the tubing from bending with the extra pressure needed to get it down into the heatbreak. I think if I use some needle-nose pliers I might be able to get it in. I'll give it a try.

CAREFUL that you don't crush the tubing. It might be difficult to see and will cause all sorts of problems if you do!

Okay, that was it. The needle-nose players would slip. it took a little bit of brut force, but with a firm grip with wire cutters on the tube closer to the coupling, I was able to get the tube through the coupling and into the heat break. Finally!
