Ball joint arm installation

Post by JustAGuy »

Was just wondering if anybody has ever intentionally installed the effector plate upside down to get the ends of the arms up and away
from the layer fan mount tab.

I upgraded to the E3D V6 all metal during assembly so I really have minimal room under the effector plate as it is for a nozzle.

Is there some reason this doesnt work?....before I take the thing apart. ;)

It shouldn't affect it all that much, and should be easy enough to reverse if it doesn't work. I know I saw a picture of someone who it seems like they had it upside-down without noticing, and they were printing fine.

Well, I flipped it over and it appears to work just fine. I haven't printed anything near the edge of the build plate yet but so far, I'm getting awesome prints from this thing.
